Luminescent properties of CaF2:Mn (Sc or Cd) solid solutions

Description
Solid solutions CaF2:Mn (Sc or Cd) were prepared by the method of solid-phase synthesis. The dependence of radioluminescence intensity in them on Mn, Sc, Cd concentration, intensity change and excitation period was studied. Addition of ScF3 to the samples in amount of 0.5% (mas.) increased the luminescence intensity and afterglow duration. Cathodoluminescence brightness of the given samples achieved 152 cd/m2 at U=10 kV; j=0.5 μA/cm2. Duration of sample afterglow (at the decrease of initial brightness e times) changed within the limits of 45-65 ms
