The Mo-HfB2 polythermal cross-section of Mo-Hf-B system
Description
Polythermal cross section of Mo-HfB2 of Mo-Hf-B system (up to 9.75 weight % HfB2), which appeared to be nonquasibinary, is investigated by the methods of metallographic and x-ray diffraction analysis, temperature measuring of the alloy solidus and microhardness of coexisting phases. Mo2B and HfB2 borides, solubility of which decreases with temperature reduction, are in equilibrium with solid solution at 2000-1200 deg C. The temperature of nonvariant eutectic equilibrium L reversible α+Mo2B+HfB2 in Mo-Hf-B ternary system 2030+-20 deg C
