  • 1. Belorusskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Minsk (Belarus)

Description

Indium dihyrogentriphosphate is synthesized in In2O3-P2O5-H2O system in the course of an investigation into phase equilibrium. The following crystallographic characteristics are obtained for the powder of this phosphate: monoclinic syngony, sp. gr. P21/n, cell parameters: a=7.525(4), b=9.074(4), c=11.846(4) A, β=103.96(3) deg. Its thermal decomposition in the air is investigated within 20-1000 deg C temperature interval. It is ascertained that In(PO3)3 polyphosphate serves as a finite product of InH2P3O10 dehydrogenation. An X ray diffraction investigation into the powder of the latter confirm its belonging to a monoclinic syngony: cell parameters - a=10.917(4), b=19.612(6), c=9.653(3) A; β=97.38(3)deg, sp.gr. Ic or P21/c. 40 refs.; 2 tabs
