Description
Complex compounds of macrocyclic polyethers with alkali metal borohydrides of the general formula [M(Mc)]BnHmxpSolv Where M-K+, Na+; Mc-dibenzo-18-crown-6, 18-crown-6; BnHm-BH4-, B3H8-; Solv-CH3OH, C4H8O and H2O are synthesized. The nature of bonds in solvates is investigated by the method of IR spectroscopy. Complex salts with anion BH4- are synthesized by interacting initial tetraborohydride of alkali metal with macrocyclic ligand. For the synthesis of complex octatriborohydrides of alcali metals with crown-ethers a technique was developed based on the interaction of the corresponding complex of alkali metal alcoholate with trimethylam onium octaborohydride. The yield of sodium salt is 90-95%, and that of potassium one - 50-80%. The extracted compounds are soluble in organic solvents and stable in air up to 200 deg C
