The state of peritonitis problem and modern feasibilities of treatment improvement

Description
Consideration is given to the program of intensive therapy, including extracorporeal hemisorption, blood ultraviolet irradiation and hyperbaric oxygenation in patients with acute generalized peritonitis. Lethality of patients, treated without application of hemisorption, hyperbaric oxygenation and blood ultraviolet irradiation, was equal to 23.2%, and in the case of combined application of mentioned methods of treatment it was decreased down to 17.8%. The first seven days are considered to be the most optimal period of treatment by mentioned methods. 69 refs.; 3 tabs
