Estimation of the photomultiplier nonlinearity characteristics by means of non-calibrated pulsed light sources

Description

Simple in application method for measuring and evaluating the nonlinearity of the photo-amplifiers characteristic by means of two controlled non-calibrated pulsed light sources is proposed. The accuracy of evaluating the characteristic nonlinearity and its linearization constitutes 0.15%. It is shown that the photo-amplifier nonlinearity leads to errors in the photoelectron evaluations. 4 refs., 6 figs
