Crystal growth and characterization of PdTe2

  • 1. Brown Univ., Providence

Description

Single crystals of PdTe2 have been grown from the melt at a temperature of 8000C by means of a modified Bridgman technique. Characterization studies of the crystals included density determinations and x-ray analysis. The crystals were found to be metallic, and the sign of the carriers from Seebeck measurements was ascertained to be positive. 9 refs
