Description
This paper presents the fundamental principles, the general outline, and a specific application of the model UTRANS (unified transport system) with emphasis on the results of application. The model simulates the temperature distribution, generated by the nuclear power plant KKU (1300 MWsub(e)), in the lower Weser river (within tidal cycle) for october 3, 1979. The model was run for a period of 24 hours. The solution area of some 15 kilometers (km 44 to km 59) consists of about 1100 discrete elements (DE) of variable size and irregular shape. (orig.)

Die Veroeffentlichung beschreibt die Grundgleichungen und eine spezielle Anwendung des Modells UTRANS (unified transport system) mit Hinblick auf die Anwendungsergebnisse. Das Modell simuliert die Temperaturverteilung des Kernkraftwerkes Unterweser (1300 MWsub(e)) in der Unterweser unter Beruecksichtigung des Tideeinflusses fuer den 3. Oktober 1979. Dabei wird ein Zeitraum von 24 Stunden simuliert. Das Loesungsgebiet besitzt eine Ausdehnung von 15 Kilometern (km 44 bis km 59) und benutzt 1100 Diskrete Elemente (DE) variabler Groesse und Gestalt.
