Nuclear education of teachers in Hungary

New science curricula were introduced in the 1900s in Hungarian Schools. The guidelines of nuclear curriculum is presented, covering most disciplines of nuclear physics. In the Ronald Eoetvoes University, Hungary, an intensive training course was launched for volunteering groups of teachers on the environmental impacts of nuclear engineering and radiation protection. An assessment of the outcome of strengthened nuclear education in the country is given. (R.P.)
