A view on accidental instrumentation for health physics

  • 1. Institute of Nuclear Sciences VINCA, Belgrade (Yugoslavia)

Description

Accidental area and wider region as risk area, are defined. Specific characteristics of health physics instruments used in these areas in the case of accident are considered. Suggestions and views from practice, usually not found in standards, are submitted as elements that should be taken into account when designing or purchasing such instruments. In this way the radiation protection would be more safe, and in accidental situations the better and more effective protection could be achieved (author)
