Description

A study has been made into the interaction between strontium oxide and kaolinite under hydrothermal conditions. It has been found, that, depending on the temperature of autoclaving and strontium oxide content in the system under investigation, the following compounds are formed: hexagonal SrAl2Si2O8, Sr-paracelsian, Sr-helenite, Sr-hydrogarnet, strontium ortho- and metasilicates, and an ordered mixed-bed phase of the smectite-illite type
