Spiral, high-strength, corrosion-resistant tube application in PWR power plant condensers
Description
This paper addresses application of spiral corrosion-resistant tubes to PWR power plant condensers. Analytical and experimental data indicating a potential for spiral tubes to significantly improve upon thermal and mechanical characteristics of condensers is provided for both new designs and retrofits. After completion of laboratory and field research on fouling and clogging of spiral tubes and the effectiveness of various cleaning techniques, these tubes can be expected to appear in PWR power plant condensers
