Description
Root fractures are increasingly frequent due to trauma, unsatisfactory and poorly planned restorations and tooth clenching as a result of the stress experienced by the population. The present study aims to report clinical cases and describe means of clinical, radiographic and tomographic diagnosis of longitudinal dental cracks, an analysis that is usually complex depending on the case and involves not only clinical issues, but also the operator's experience. Four clinical cases were described with the purpose of showing the different forms of manifestation of clinical signs and symptoms of teeth affected by these types of cracks. Through the exposure of the case series report, it became evident that the clinical experience associated with the radiographic and tomographic characteristics make up a fundamental set for the correct diagnosis of longitudinal dental cracks.
