High-frequency line of a microtron

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Fizicheskikh Problem

Description

The effect is considered of the coupling coefficient of an accelerating resonator with a waveguide on microtron operation. The high-frequency circuit of the microtron with a high coupling coefficient (β=15) makes it possible to improve the reliability of accelerator operation and increase the accelerated current to 80 mA. The circuit diagram is simplified: the two ferrite circulators are replaced by a single ferrite bypass. This reduces the energy losses in the circuit and increases the power of the accelerated beam
