Tests of the standard model (and beyond) from spin physics

  • 1. Theoretical Physics Division, CERN, 1211 Geneva 23, Switzerland (Switzerland)

Description

The hypothesis of this talk is that precision measurements of the longitudinal polarization asymmetries (Z resonance couplings to fermions), derived from e+e-scattering, on top of Z resonance, can provide very severe tests of the minimal standard model but can also evidentiate spectacular and unexpectedly simple signals of some model of new physics beyond it, in a realistic and clean way
