European gas market evolution: mediterranean perspectives

Creators

  • 1. Gaz de France (GDF), 75 - Paris (France)

Description

The natural gas market in Europe is increasing. The half of the expecting growth of gas consumption is on South Europe countries. In a long term the gas supply will come certainly from European suppliers but there is a place for extra European gas suppliers. Algeria, Libya, Iran, Qatar can take a place in this market. The Mediterranean basin could become the parting of gas exchange at the beginning of the next century and see the creation of an Euro-Mediterranean economic space, between the 15 european countries and 12 mediterranean countries
