Description
Hydroxyapatite-chitosan (HAp-CS) was coated with 2205 duplex stainless steel (DSS) by utilizing electrophoretic deposition (EPD) technique, enhancing the resistance to corrosion onto DSS. In this study, the corrosion resistance of uncoated and coated samples were evaluated in Ringer's physiological solution by various electrochemical studies. The surface morphology of coatings and porosity were investigated by field emission, scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) test and Image J 1.42q software, respectively. The optimum result for successful coating of DSS was acquired with a coating under condition 30 V for three minutes, were the corrosion's current density (Icoor) at (4.32 μA cm−2). (paper)
