Deformation structure of the light nuclei from the (p, 2p), (p,pn) reactions
Description
Energy spectra measured in the (p, 2p) and (p, pn) reactions at the incident proton energy of 1 GeV on sup(6, 7)Li, 9Be, sup(10, 11)B, 12C nuclear targets are eXamined within the framework of the unified nuclear model. A deformed nuclear potential generated by the Skyrme interaction with a single free deformation parameter is proposed. The separation energies, the mean squared radii, quadrupole moments for neutrons and protons and magnetic dipole moments are calculated. On the whole, a reasonably good agreement with the experiment has been achieved. A possibility of the evaluation of quadrupole moments of the neutron density disrstribution is discussed
