Description
On March 28, 2019, the 60th anniversary of the Budapest Research Reactor was celebrated in the hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Currently, the consortium of the Budapest Neutron Center, the MTA Energy Science Research Center and the MTA Wigner Physics Research Center coordinates the scientific and industrial R&D activities around the Budapest Research Reactor. The article covers the following topics: Methods; Non-destructive element composition measurement; Technology development tests with neutron scattering; 3D material density mapping with neutron tomography; Examination of porous building materials; Reverse Engineering and 3D printing; Examination of dynamic processes; Examination of zirconium heating element casing embrittlement; Summary.
