Cerium complexes with hydrazides-sul'fate and nitrate derivatives

Description
Coordination compounds CeL4(NO3)3xnH2O, Ce2L4(SO4)3xnH2O, Ce2L8(SO4)3xnH2O (L-hydrazine molecule, n=0, 1-3) are synthesized under interaction of aqueous, aqueous-ethanol and ethanol solutions of cerium nitrate and hydrazides of carboxylic acids as well as in reactions of hydrazides with cerium sulfate. Some properties and IR absorption spectra of the prepared compounds are studied. Hydrazide molecules are stated to be coordinated by cerium via nitrogen atom of the primary amino-group and oxygen atom of the carbonyl group. The coordination number of cerium in the complexes is not less than 8
