Evidence for weak link effects in epitaxial thin films of YBCO on LaAlO3

Description
This paper reports on evidence of weak link effects in epitaxial thin films of YBa2Cu3O7-y on LaAlO3 obtained from magnetically modulated resistance (MMR) measurements. This result suggests that weak links could provide a mechanism for the residual microwave loss in high quality superconducting thin films which contain predominantly low angle grain boundaries
