The effects of insertion devices on betatron functions and their correction in the low emittance mode of the photon factory storage ring
Description
A method to correct large tune shifts and distortions of betatron functions caused by insertion devices is presented. In this method, the k-values of several quadrupole magnets neighboring to the insertion devices are changed so as to minimize the distortions. The computer calculations show that the distortions can be reduced to acceptably small values. (author)
