Investigation of sorption of some radioelements by inorganic sorbent - tin (4) phosphate

Description

A study was made on the effect of state of Zr(4), labelled by 95Zr, and sorbent structure on metal absorption from aqueous solutions by tin (4) phosphate. The dependence of zirconium (4) sorption from 2 mol/l HNO3 and mechanical strength of tin phosphate grains on specific surface of the sorbent, as well as the dependence of Zr(4) sorption by tin phosphate on acetic acid concentration, are presented. Changes of Zr(4) sorption in the presence of acetic acid are explained by formation of acetate complexes. The obtained data on sorbent structure were used to calculate parameters of primary particles of tin (4) phosphate, diffusion coefficient and activation energy of Zr(4) exchange at the second stage
