Results of the work on development of research reactor fuel element based on high density fuel with decreased enrichment in uranium-235
Description
The work is developed to the branch program on decrease of fuel enrichment in the Russian research reactors. The analysis of results of foreign works and own studies on creating dispersion fuel compositions on the basis of high density uranium compounds is accomplished. The uranium alloys U3Si, U3Si alloys, U-Zr-Nb, U6Fe and U6Fe alloys are chosen for application in further developments. Characteristics of these alloys are given from the viewpoint of their behaviour under irradiation

Работа посвящена выполнению этапа отраслевой программы по снижению обогащения топлива в твэлах российских исследовательских реакторов. Выполнен анализ результатов зарубежных работ и собственных исследований по созданию дисперсионных топливных композиций на базе высокоплотных соедиенеий урана. Для использования в дальнейших разработках выбраны сплавы урана: U3Si, U3Si легированный, U-Zr-Nb, U6Fe и U6Fe легированный.
