The proceedings volume covers the abstracts of all papers presented to the 19th scientific conference of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Medizinische Physik e.V. (German Medical Physics Society) which was concerned with the following subjects: X-ray diagnostics, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, nuclear magnetic resonance, ultrasonics, hyperthermia, laser techniques, and biomagnetism. Practical experience with diagnostic imaging techniques and the application of particle accelerators for radiation therapy were aspects of main interest of most conference papers, and among the diagnostic tools, NMR imaging was given much attention. There also was a session dealing with computer-aided documentation of the patient-specific data referring to diagnostic examination and treatment. (ORU)

Der Tagungsbericht der 19. Wissenschaftlichen Tagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft fuer Medizinische Physik enthaelt Kurzfassungen zu Vortraegen mit folgenden Schwerpunkten: Roentgendiagnostik, Nuklearmedizin, Strahlentherapie, Kernspinresonanz, Ultraschall, Hyperthermie, Laser und Biomagnetismus. Im Vordergrund stehen Erfahrungsberichte zur bildgebenden Diagnostik sowie die Anordnung von Beschleunigern in der Strahlentherapie. Eine Reihe von Beitraegen befasst sich mit der computergestuetzten Dokumentation patientenbezogener Diagnose- und Therapiedaten. Breiten Raum nehmen NMR-Diagnoseanwendungen ein.
