Model calculations for re-dissolving processes in the presence of brine streams in the near-field environment of a radwaste repository

The project task is to perform modelling calculations and parameter studies of possible brine streams flowing through emplacement sites, sealing material and drifts in salt rock, taking into account re-dissolving processes and convergence effects which may have a strong influence on the permeability of the drifts and in addition may initiate or enhance driving forces for brine flow. Abstract (German)
Ziel des Vorhabens ist die Durchfuehrung von Modellrechnungen und Parameterstudien zu moeglichen Laugenbewegungen durch Einlagerungsoerter, Verschluesse und Wegsamkeiten im Salz unter Beruecksichtigung von Umloesevorgaengen sowie von Konvergenzeffekten, die ebenfalls einen grossen Einfluss auf die Permeabilitaet der Wegsamkeiten haben und ausserdem einen Antrieb fuer Laugenbewegungen darstellen.
