Description
The semi-quantitative analysis by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (LA-ICP-MS) on oak wood samples requires a response calibration with wood standard and an internal standard of wood. We obtained a standard of wood by mineralisation in nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide. 13 C is a relative constant concentration carbon isotope and is used internal standard of wood. The elemental concentrations are determined in order to find the geographical origin of wood (for example cadmium and strontium). (authors). 9 refs., 2 figs., 6 tabs
