Description
The starting point for most countries is that international trading with electric power is organized through a national monopoly, in addition to the fact that transmission and coordination sections of the overall power system are comprised of monopolies, also after a possible deregulation. The article presents a theoretical discussion of which consequences this system of monopolies could have for possibilities for realising potential profits in a wider international electric power trading system.
