Stopping power for fast channeled α particles in silicon
- 1. Nuclear Physics Division, Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Harwell, Didcot, OX11 ORA, United Kingdom
Description
The stopping power for 160-MeV α particles in silicon has been measured in the < 110 > and < 111> channeling directions and also for random impact. The respective values 0.54 +- 0.02, 0.67 +- 0.02, and 1.10 +- 0.01 eV/A are discussed in relation to conflicting theories of the channeled stopping power
