Action of radiation on nuclear emulsions

The theoretical basis of radioautography were reviewed. The following topics were emphasized: theory of detectable radiations (basic reaction, secondary effects); action of radiation in matter (electromagnetic radiation, corpuscular radiation, other radiations); energy absorption in the nuclear photographic emulsions (composition of nuclear emulsions, the photographic phenomenon, the conductivity band, silver bromide crystals, formation of the latent image)
