The physics of CANDU reactor design
Description
The theoretical methods and codes used in CANDU reactor design are reviewed, and their predictions of reactivity coefficients, fuel burnup, isotopic changes, power distributions in the fuel pin or bundle and in the core, etc. are tested against several measurements in experimental and power reactors. The agreement between predictions and measurements gives confidence in the methods used in CANDU reactor design. (author)
