Sample holder for dielectric properties measurement at low temperatures
Description
In this paper, a thin-sample holder is described which is suitable for measuring the dielectric properties of solids at low temperatures. It has been used to measure the permittivity of a small sample of PET over the range between 113 and 273 K. The apparent energy of activation of this polymer over the same range is deduced, and the relaxation time temperature dependence is related qualitatively to the molecular structure of the sample.
