Interpretation of isostructural phase transition in Pb1-xSnxTe(In)

Description
A sharp decrease in the constant of Pb0.78Sn0.22Te(In) lattice in the range of 0.7-0.8 at. % In is explained by the lattice deformation when the impurity level in In is populated by electrons. The deformation potential is determined, being E1 ≅ 15 eV. 10 refs
