Mechanics, mechanisms and crack propagation characteristics in structural materials under high temperature fatigue and creep-fatigue interaction

Creators

Description

Analysis of fracture characteristic peculiarities in case of high-temperature fatigue and its interaction with creep in ductile materials has been carried out. The necessity to work out nonlinear parameters of correlation of crack propagation rates at high temperatures alongside with the use of fracture linear-elastic mechanics parameters is pointed out. The importance of metallographic researches when studying fracture processes for the comprehension of crack formation and propagation mechanisms on microscopic level is emphasized. The role of microstructure is illustrated using as an example type 316 steel
