On the mutual effect of deformation and pearlite transformation
Description
The effect and the ''reverse'' effect of the pearlite transformation upon the deformation diagram was investigated in low-alloy 50R and 38KhVA steels. The deformation speeded up decomposition, whereas the transformation increased the rate of the strain hardening thus allowing greater elongations. The pearlite transformation was not an effective mechanism for stress relaxation
