Sintered or glass thermoluminescence detector
Creators
Description
The thermoluminescence detector has the shape of a disk with matt front and rear faces. Sensitivity is thus improved by 17%, the background is reduced by ca. 50%. The detector can easily be identified by, e.g., pencil marking. Production cost of a disk of 1 mm in thickness and 8 mm in diameter is lower by 17% than that of a comparable polished detector. (M.D.)
