Description
The exact cosmic string solutions of Einstein equations in the bimetric-type theories with a background Minkowski metric are found. It is shown that the distance between two points in the space of cosmic strings is different in bimetric theories (on a harmonic map) and in general relativity. This provides a difference in time delays which in principle is testable in the gravitational lensing effect
