NUKEM GmbH jointly with Balakovskaya nuclear power plants and the Nuclear Power Project Institute of Nizhni Novgorod has worked out a new concept for the processing of wastes accumulated in the Balakovskaya nuclear power plant. Additional equipment/facilities to be installed includes a plant for sorting wastes, a high pressure press, incinerator, a plant for concentration of liquid wastes, and a grouting plant
