Cost benefit assessment of reducing risks of liquid radioactive wastes from nuclear fuel cycle installations

  • 1. Vyzkumny Ustav Palivoenergetickeho Komplexu, Prague (Czechoslovakia)

Description

The cost benefit method is applied to the reduction of risks from 226Ra in mine waters and tritium in nuclear power plant discharges. It was proved that project designs agree with the ALARA principle. Graphs show the dependence of reduced risks on expended investments. (B.S.). 2 figs., 3 refs
