Description

A remote radiochemistry system has been developed and in operation since 1977 for routine multicurie radiochemical separations of radioisotopes made directly or indirectly (parent-daughter systems) in solid cyclotron targets. Its major features include flexibility of uses for precipitation, ion-exchange, and solvent extraction chemical procedures (independently or in combination); simplicity, with the possibility for microprocessor-controlled operation; durability of components; accessibility for maintenance; and safety, by providing an extremely radiation-safe working environment
