Hadronic direct photon production at NA3

Description

Direct photon production has been observed with incident pion beams at 200 GeV/c. The production cross section has been determined as well as the γ/π0 ratio. A comparison is also made for π0 production by proton and pion. All the results are compatible with the QCD second order calculations. 6 refs
