Description
Compounds of the composition Ba6B(III)2vacantTe(VI)3O18 equivalent to Ba2Ba(III)sub(2/3)vacantsub(1/3)Te(VI)O6, with B(III) = Pr, Nd, Sm-Lu, Y crystallize with a cubic perovskite lattice. The cell parameters diminish as the size of B(III) falls (B(III) = Pr: a = 8.52 A; Lu: a = 8.33 A). In contrast to the corresponding perovskites with U(VI) and W(VI) no polymorphism is observed.
