Effect of synthesis route on electrical conductivity of 20 mol % Sm doped ceria

Description
Nano materials of Ce0.8Sm0.2O2-d (SDC) has been synthesized by cation complexation and combustion method. Electrical impedance spectroscopy analyses have been performed on this material sintered at 1673 K in the temperature range of 500 to 673 K in static air. SDC synthesized by cation complexation showed higher conductivity as compared to the one synthesized by combustion method. SEM was used to elucidate this observation. (author)
