Contribution to the determination of dissolved W in the binder phase of WC based hard metals
Description
A method for the determination of the amount of dissolved tungsten in the binder phase of WC based hard metals is presented. The solubility is dependent on the total carbon content as well as on the binder phase composition. The amount of dissolved tungsten in optimized WC-FeCoNi hard metals is much lower than in conventional WC-Co. (orig.)
