Description
France and Britain have clearly recognized that the reprocessing of spent fuel and the fast breeder reactor development are necessities of nuclear technology. The construction of the breeder power station Super Phenix 1 is making excellent progress. International cooperating is acting as a strong incentive to German breeder research, which has achieved valuable results especially in the safety field. Public acceptance of nuclear technology is growing in political importance. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
In Frankreich und Grossbritannien wird am klarsten erkannt, dass die Wiederaufarbeitung ausgedienter Brennelemente und die Brueterentwicklung integrierende Bestandteile der Kerntechnik bilden. Hervorragend ist der Baufortschritt des franzoesischen Brueterkraftwerks Super Phenix 1. Die internationale Zusammenarbeit gibt der deutschen Brueterforschung Impulse; wertvolle Ergebnisse wurden vor allem auf dem Sicherheitsgebiet erzielt. Die Notwendigkeit der oeffentlichen Akzeptanz der Kerntechnik erhaelt wachsendes politisches Gewicht. (orig.)Additional details
