IMP annual report, 1990

This Annual Report describes the scientific activities of the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) during the year of 1990. In this period the efforts of the institute were mainly devoted to the following aspects: the operation and development of the major facilities in IMP, especially of HIRFL, the theoretical and experimental researches on heavy ion physics from low to intermediate excitations, the progress in applications of heavy ions and nuclear techniques, and the development of nuclear instrumentation. A highlight of the scientific researches of IMP in 1990 is the experiments carried out at HIRFL
