Description

Optical eigenmode imaging (OEI) reconstructs a complex object by using the orthogonality of optical eigenmodes. The image quality of OEI is limited by the missing of high-order eigenmodes. Here, we propose a universal method to improve the image quality of OEI by applying the iterative operation on the image collected by the second-order OEI (SOEI). The numerical simulations show that both the detrimental side bands and the position dependence of the point spread function by using OEI are largely mitigated. (letter)
