ENSI letter to the Axpo Power AG concerning participation in the 2017 peer review of ageing management at nuclear power plants

This letter addressed to the Axpo Power AG by the Swiss Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI presents a decree issued concerning participation in the 2017 Peer Review of Ageing Management at Nuclear Power Plants. This Topical Peer Review (TPR) was agreed by the European Union in 2017 to review measures taken, good practices and areas of improvements and to exchange operational experience gained on a European level. Three phases cover the production of the national report, the review of presented national reports and the implementation of recommendations in the final report. The scope of the TPR 2017 and the Swiss National Report are presented and discussed. The legal basis involved is noted. Finally, two measures decreed by ENSI for the Beznau nuclear power plant are noted
