Process for detecting large or medium leaks through the exchange-wall of a liquid metal steam generator
Description
Leaks are detected by measuring continuously a physical parameter of the liquid metal bringing the vaporization heat. One compares the value measured or its evolution with time with another value of the parameter or with its evolution versus time, determined in different conditions. One measures, by example, the outlet temperature in each sector of the steam generator by means of thermocouples or one measures the levels in the steam generator or its feeding circuit of sodium by means of probes. The measured values are compared each others or to reference values

Le procede consiste a mesurer en continu un parametre physique relatif au metal liquide apportant la chaleur de vaporisation. On compare la valeur mesuree ou son evolution dans le temps a une autre valeur du parametre ou a son evolution en fonction du temps, determinees dans des conditions differentes. On mesure par exemple la temperature en sortie de chacun des secteurs du generateur de vapeur grace a des thermocouples ou on mesure les niveaux du sodium grace a des sondes. Les valeurs mesurees sont comparees entre elles ou a des valeurs de reference. On peut egalement effectuer des mesures de niveau en un point du circuit d'alimentation du generateur de vapeur en metal liquideAdditional details
