Mechanism of radiation-thermal decomposition of concentrated sulfuric acid
Description
60Co γ-radiolysis (dose rate is 0.008-6.36 Gy/s) of 18.4 mol/dm H2SO4 at 373-573 K depending on the dose rate and hydrodynamic situation in the reactor is investigated. On the basis of literature data and concepts of the mechanism of H2S2O8 thermochemical decomposition chain alternative mechanisms of radiation-thermal decomposition of concentrated sulfuric acid are suggested, which explain qualitatively the known experimental results
